About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide patient care and support pharmacy operations. You will play a role in maintaining a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment while assisting with patient care programs, inventory management, and workflow oversight.
What you'll do#
- Support patients and caregivers through the management of patient care programs.
- Demonstrate empathy and compassion in all interactions with patients and team members.
- Foster a team culture that promotes caring, enthusiasm, and collaboration.
- Ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment by adhering to regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
- Perform physical tasks including scanning, bagging, and lifting items up to 20 lbs.
- Maintain regular attendance, including availability for nights and weekends.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Possession of, or progress toward obtaining, a valid intern or technician license.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and designated timeframes.
- Ability to remain upright for extended periods and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and visual acuity.
