About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your academic learning to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap. This role focuses on developing your skills in preparation for a future Pharmacist position while gaining an overview of store, district, and regional operations.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap and participate in key learning experiences.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures for prescription fulfillment, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care during interactions.
- Educate patients about the importance of vaccines and refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist on duty.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ethical principles.
- Assist with inventory activities such as cycle counts, returns-to-stock, and processing medication deliveries.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure as required by state regulations.
- Ability to concentrate on specific tasks over extended periods.
- Ability to pivot quickly between different tasks to meet patient and business needs.
- Proficiency in using math to solve problems, such as calculating medication dosages or day supplies.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

- Compensation: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
