About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your academic learning to real-world practice while preparing for future responsibilities as a Pharmacist. Under the direction of a preceptor, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap, gaining experience in store, district, and regional operations. This role focuses on supporting pharmacy teams, ensuring smooth operations, and providing compassionate care to patients.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure that pharmacy operations run smoothly.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify information as needed.
- Complete basic inventory activities, such as processing deliveries and cycle counts, as permitted by law.
- Deliver patient health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, where permitted by law and supported by required training.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures across all workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Possession of, or the process of obtaining, a valid intern or technician license as required by state regulations.
- Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy to ensure patient safety.
- Ability to pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business needs.
- Commitment to completing all required training within the designated timeframe.

- Compensation: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
