About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap, gaining experience in store, district, and regional operations. This role prepares you for future responsibilities as a Pharmacist by immersing you in daily pharmacy workflows and patient care.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled accurately.
- Provide caring service that exceeds patient expectations through empathetic communication.
- Support immunizations and help patients understand their health queries.
- Complete basic inventory activities, such as putting away deliveries and performing cycle counts, as permitted by law.
- Follow company standard operating procedures at each workstation, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure as required by state regulations.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Strong attention and focus to maintain accuracy over extended periods.
- A team-oriented approach with a commitment to providing friendly customer service.
