About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap. This role provides hands-on experience with pharmacy operations while preparing you for future responsibilities as a pharmacist. You will gain an overview of store, district, and regional operations while contributing to a safe and inclusive team environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly.
- Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures.
- Demonstrate empathy and genuine care in all patient interactions, whether in person or over the phone.
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure patient safety, privacy, and security.
- Maintain focus and attention to detail while managing tasks like inventory activities and prescription labeling.
- Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues to provide optimal care.
What you'll need#
- Acceptance into or active enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure as required by the state.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Strong focus and the ability to concentrate on tasks over time.
- Dedication to customer service and team orientation.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for extended periods, reaching, and lifting up to 20 lbs.

- Location: Denton, Texas.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Part-time, including nights and weekends.
- Compensation: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
