About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide care to patients. You will help manage the daily operations of a retail pharmacy, focusing on safety, service, and patient health. This position is part-time and operates on-site in Pottstown, Pennsylvania.
What you'll do#
- Maintain a safe pharmacy environment and follow all regulatory requirements.
- Manage pharmacy workflow, customer service, and inventory.
- Support patient health through the management of patient care programs.
- Display empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, customers, and colleagues.
- Foster a team culture that values energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
- Complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Once licensed, you will be expected to provide patient immunizations.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 20 lbs, standing for extended periods, and reaching or stooping to move items.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
