About the role#
This is a part-time Pharmacy Intern position designed for students to apply their didactic learning from pharmacy school into real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap, gaining experience in store, district, and regional operations while preparing for future responsibilities as a pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences.
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly.
- Follow all company standard operating procedures at each workstation to support pharmacists and technicians.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care.
- Deliver additional patient health care services, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, where allowable by law.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Maintain high standards of self-awareness and provide support to pharmacy team members.
What you'll need#
- Acceptance into or active enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to complete required training within a designated timeframe.
- Ability to concentrate on tasks over a period of time and confirm prescription information for patient safety.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and remain mobile for extended periods.

- Compensation: $20.50 - $24.25 per hour.
