Pharmacy Intern - Grad

About the role#

The Pharmacy Intern (Graduate) role is designed for PharmD graduates to transition from didactic learning to real-world practice. Under the guidance of a preceptor and District Leader, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation. This program focuses on store, district, and regional operations, preparing you for future responsibilities as a Pharmacist. This is a paid, on-site, part-time opportunity for Summer 2026.

What you'll do#

• Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures across all workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, care, and effective communication.
• Offer to counsel patients, field medical questions, and solicit medical history under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Maintain inventory by completing cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, and organizing medication deliveries.
• Support immunization services by educating patients, obtaining informed consent, and administering vaccines where permitted by law.
• Provide in-the-moment coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members.

What you'll need#

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program.
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required by state guidelines.
• Ability to perform essential physical tasks, including standing for extended periods, reaching, and lifting up to 20 lbs.
• Strong mathematical reasoning for prescription calculations and attention to detail for label accuracy.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and travel to various store locations within the market as needed.
