About the role#
As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will transition your academic training into real-world practice. You will work under the guidance of a preceptor and District Leader to complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation. This role focuses on developing your skills in pharmacy operations, patient safety, and clinical standards to prepare you for a future Pharmacist position.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures across all workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care during interactions.
- Complete basic inventory activities, such as putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts, as directed by pharmacy leadership.
- Support patient health by offering immunizations, point-of-care testing, and fielding medical questions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Maintain compliance with all company standard operating procedures, federal, and state regulations.
What you'll need#
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program.
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation.
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure as required by state guidelines.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Capability to remain mobile and upright for extended periods, and lift up to 20 lbs.
