About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your academic training to real-world practice under the direction of a preceptor. This role focuses on supporting pharmacy operations, developing clinical skills, and preparing for future responsibilities as a pharmacist. You will gain hands-on experience through a structured training roadmap while working within a team to deliver patient care.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled accurately.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by demonstrating empathy and genuine care.
- Educate patients about the importance of vaccines and support immunization services where allowable by law.
- Complete basic inventory activities, including cycle counts and managing medication deliveries.
- Deliver additional patient health care services as permitted by law and supported by training.
- Follow company standard operating procedures to maintain safety, compliance, and patient privacy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure as required by state regulations.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Strong attention and focus, with the ability to concentrate on tasks over extended periods.
- A customer service orientation, including a friendly demeanor and a willingness to help others.
- Ability to work a part-time schedule that includes nights and weekends.
