About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world pharmacy practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap. This role prepares you for future responsibilities as a pharmacist by providing hands-on experience with store, district, and regional operations. You will support the pharmacy team to ensure operations run safely, accurately, and efficiently.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team with daily operations to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly and safely.
- Complete a training roadmap focused on Key Learning Experiences to build your clinical and technical skills.
- Demonstrate empathy and care when interacting with patients at the register, over the phone, or at the drive-thru.
- Follow company procedures for workflow, inventory management, and prescription fulfillment.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Contribute to a team environment by embracing feedback and seeking opportunities to expand your knowledge.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business needs.
- Capability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.

- Location: Melissa, Texas.
- This is a part-time, on-site position.
- The role operates on a rolling basis.
