About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice while preparing for a future role as a Pharmacist. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to gain an overview of pharmacy operations, including store, district, and regional functions. This is a part-time, on-site position based in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences.
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled safely and accurately.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by offering caring service and empathy.
- Maintain high self-awareness and provide in-the-moment coaching to team members.
- Support immunizations and patient health care services as allowable by law and supported by required training.
- Follow company standard operating procedures at all workstations.
What you'll need#
- Acceptance into or active enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure as required by state regulations.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Strong attention and focus, with the ability to concentrate on tasks over long periods.
- Ability to pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business needs.
- Availability to work nights and weekends as required.
