Pharmacy Intern - Grad

About the role#

As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will transition your didactic learning into real-world practice to prepare for a future Pharmacist role. Under the direction of a preceptor and District Leader, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation. This role focuses on deepening your understanding of pharmacy operations, patient safety, quality assurance, and professional standards.

What you'll do#

• Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
• Demonstrate empathy and genuine care to contribute to a safe and inclusive culture where patients feel valued.
• Support management and operations, including inventory activities, cycle counts, and responding to patient inquiries.
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies regarding patient privacy and controlled substance dispensing.
• As readiness increases, support additional health services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing where permitted by law.

What you'll need#

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Strong attention to detail, mathematical reasoning for prescription calculations, and the ability to pivot between tasks quickly.
• Physical ability to remain mobile for extended periods, reach, stoop, and lift up to 20 lbs.
