About the role#
This position is for a Pharmacy Student to support our clinical team in Monroe, Louisiana. You will work in a part-time capacity to assist with medication preparation, inventory management, and data entry while gaining practical experience in a hospital setting.
What you'll do#
- Compound IV admixtures and other preparations using aseptic techniques.
- Maintain stock levels in the IV room, Central Pharmacy, and other assigned areas.
- Fill medication orders and enter ADR data into the computer system.
- Adapt your communication and behavior to meet the needs of specific patient populations.
- Ensure all work complies with federal, state, and local laws, as well as accreditation standards.
- Complete assigned projects and demonstrate professional growth.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in good standing at an accredited College of Pharmacy, or status as a graduate who has passed the NABP Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination.
- A current Pharmacy Intern Permit from the State Board of Pharmacy.
- Experience working with standard pharmacy and office equipment.
- Proficiency with Windows-based applications and keyboarding.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to travel between facilities as required.
