About the role#
Memorial Health Ohio is hiring a Pharmacy Intern for a full-time, on-site position in Marysville. This role involves supporting pharmacists in daily operations and maintaining accurate medication records for our patients.
What you'll do#
- Assist pharmacists with drug preparation, including labeling, compounding, and repackaging.
- Maintain accurate computer profiles for patients based on hospital policies.
- Prepare drugs for automated dispensing and monitor the equipment to keep it in working order.
- Create intravenous admixtures and sterile products, such as chemotherapy and irrigation solutions, under pharmacist supervision.
- Manage drug stock by rotating items, organizing storage, and documenting orders.
- Ensure all medication items are billed correctly through manual or computerized entry.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Current licensure as a Pharmacy Intern with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy, which you must maintain throughout your employment.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- The ability to work well within a group environment.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association is recommended.
