About the role#
This is an inpatient Pharmacy Intern position at Good Samaritan Hospital. You will work under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, supervisor, or director of pharmacy services to support hospital-wide drug distribution and the intravenous admixture program.
What you'll do#
- Perform technical and clerical duties for the unit-dose drug distribution system.
- Prepare intravenous medications, including antibiotics, hyperalimentations, and chemotherapeutic preparations.
- Pre-fill patient cassette drawers with a 24-hour supply of unit dose medications.
- Procure and fill requests for pharmaceutical supplies and deliver them to nursing units.
- Enter and retrieve data using the computer system.
- Maintain confidential reports.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma.
- Active enrollment in an accredited college of pharmacy.
- Current registration with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Intern.
- Up to 1 year of experience in a related field.

- Location: Good Samaritan Hospital, 375 Dixmyth Avenue, Cincinnati, OH.
- Schedule: PRN with optional hours and a rotation for weekends and holidays.
- This is a paid, on-site position. It is not eligible for benefits.
