About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern at TriHealth, you will work in a hospital setting under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, supervisor, or director of pharmacy services. This role supports our hospital-wide unit-dose drug distribution system and intravenous admixture program. You will gain hands-on experience in a clinical environment while contributing to patient care.
What you'll do#
- Assist with pharmacist duties, including order entry, drug information, and clinical monitoring.
- Prepare and dispense medications and sterile products without errors.
- Operate pharmacy automation equipment accurately and efficiently.
- Prioritize tasks to optimize workflow using problem-solving techniques.
- Maintain confidential reports and manage data within the computer system.
- Prepare intravenous medications, such as antibiotics, hyperalimentations, and chemotherapeutic preparations.
- Prefill patient cassette drawers and deliver pharmaceutical supplies to nursing units.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma.
- Current enrollment in an accredited college of pharmacy.
- Active Pharmacy Intern License in the State of Ohio.
- Up to 1 year of experience in a related field is preferred but not required.

- Location: Bethesda North Hospital, Montgomery, Ohio.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Status: PRN (not eligible for TriHealth benefits).
- Schedule: Shifts vary with a required rotation for weekends and holidays.
