About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on patient care, workflow management, and regulatory compliance to help customers manage their health.
What you'll do#
- Deliver care to patients and assist with managing patient care programs.
- Model empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
- Seek new ways to grow and collaborate with team members.
- Perform tasks including inventory management, quality assurance, and customer service.
- Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 20 lbs, reaching, and remaining upright for extended periods.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
