About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide patient care and support pharmacy operations. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe, effective retail pharmacy environment while gaining professional experience in the healthcare industry.
What you'll do#
- Deliver exceptional care to each patient under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to help customers and patients maintain their health.
- Display empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and team members.
- Optimize workflow management and ensure a safe, effective work environment.
- Complete required training within state guidelines and timeframes.
- Perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, and reaching for items.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Possession of, or in the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure as required by the state.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Availability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
- Immunization eligibility is preferred.
