About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the operations of a retail pharmacy. You will play a key role in ensuring a safe and effective work environment while delivering care to patients. This is a part-time, paid position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Deliver exceptional care to each patient under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Maintain a safe and effective retail pharmacy work environment.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to keep customers and patients healthy.
- Display empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and team members.
- Optimize pharmacy workflow management.
- Complete all required training within state guidelines and timeframes.
- Perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, and precise manual tasks like scanning and typing.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or the ability to obtain it as required by the state.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Preferred: Immunization eligibility and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
