About the role#
This is a part-time Pharmacy Intern position based in Monroeville, Pennsylvania. You will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice while preparing for future responsibilities as a pharmacist. Under the direction of a preceptor, you will gain experience through a training roadmap that includes Key Learning Experiences and time spent with district leadership.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focused on Key Learning Experiences.
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly, including prescription fulfillment at production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off stations.
- Demonstrate empathy and genuine care in patient interactions, including fielding medical questions and providing immunizations where permitted.
- Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure patient safety and privacy.
- Contribute to a high-performing team and maintain a growth mindset by seeking feedback and expanding clinical knowledge.
- Manage inventory tasks such as putting away deliveries, cycle counts, and returns.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or acceptance to an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to complete required training within the designated timeframe.
- Capacity to concentrate on tasks over extended periods and pivot between responsibilities quickly.
- Mathematical skills to solve problems, such as calculating medication dosages or supply counts.
- Ability to remain upright for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds.

- Compensation: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
