About the role#
The Oncology Clinical Scientist Intern program offers a 12-week professional experience within a large pharmaceutical research and development setting. You will join a team focused on discovering new pathways and treatments to eliminate cancer. Throughout the summer, you will work with a mentor to gain insight into drug development, disease biology, and the process of identifying novel therapeutics. This role involves collaborating across global, matrixed teams and contributing to research projects that bridge the gap from lab to life.
What you'll do#
- Design and execute experiments while receiving training on technology platforms and analytical methods.
- Collect data, maintain records, and assist with the interpretation and reporting of research results.
- Participate in department, team, and cross-functional meetings.
- Review scientific literature and monitor related new technologies.
- Shadow key functional roles to support your professional development.
- Attend the Bench to Bedside Lecture Series to learn about clinical research.
- Lead specific internship activities or group projects.
- Prepare and present an abstract or poster at the annual organization-wide research symposium.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university or college program, with no graduation planned before or during the internship.
- Completion of at least four semesters for undergraduate students or current pursuit of a master’s or PhD degree for graduate students.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Pursuing a degree in biology, cell or molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, immunology, immuno-oncology, computational biology, or a similar field.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lead peers and present findings to project and senior leadership teams.
- Fluency in written and spoken English with effective communication skills.
- Experience or working knowledge of Slack and Microsoft business tools, such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to balance multiple project deliverables.

- Location: Spring House, Pennsylvania.
- Term: Summer 2027 (approximately May 10th to August 13th).
- Work Modality: Hybrid (requires reporting on-site three days per week).
- Employment: Full-time and paid.
