About the role#
Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Data Science Co-Op for the Winter 2027 term. This full-time, on-site position is based in Cincinnati, Ohio. You will work within the R&D business to support the development of surgical technologies, including robotics, handheld instruments, and digital products. You will collaborate with hardware engineers, data engineers, and data scientists throughout your rotation.
What you'll do#
- Perform analysis of structured and unstructured surgical data sets.
- Contribute to product conceptualization for new surgical tools and platforms.
- Write software to enable collaborative data analysis and maintain data quality.
- Develop and conduct mechanical, electrical, and biological tissue laboratory experiments.
- Design and optimize data visualizations for stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering.
- Completion of at least two semesters of school prior to the start of the term.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
