About the role#
The Facilities Management Co-Op supports the Engineering & Property Services team at our Cincinnati, Ohio campus. This site is a Research and Development facility focused on surgical device innovation. You will gain hands-on experience in facilities engineering, maintenance, capital projects, and compliance-driven operations within a regulated environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the development and maintenance of site master plans and facility improvement initiatives.
- Update and maintain building drawings, utility maps, and facility documentation using AutoCAD.
- Support capital project planning, execution, and project tracking.
- Participate in infrastructure assessments for HVAC, refrigeration, fire protection, electrical, and building systems.
- Attend project meetings, document minutes, track action items, and support follow-up tasks.
- Assist with vendor coordination, contractor oversight, and workplace improvement projects.
- Support GxP documentation activities, including change controls, preventive maintenance records, and qualification support.
- Contribute to sustainability, decarbonization, and continuous improvement projects.
- Prepare and deliver presentations on project status, recommendations, and findings.
- Support strategic campus planning, space optimization, and infrastructure renewal.
What you'll need#
- Completion of undergraduate freshman year at an accredited university.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Architecture, Construction, Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software (preferred).
- Previous internship, co-op, or project experience in engineering, facilities management, or construction (preferred).
- Interest in facility systems, sustainability, energy management, or operations (preferred).
- Experience developing dashboards, reports, or data analytics solutions (preferred).
