About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to work with scientists and technical experts at production sites. You will join a team focused on winegrowing research, contributing to various projects and corporate initiatives. The role is full-time for a 6-month duration, running from June through December 2027.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Viticulture, Chemistry, Enology, Micro and Systems Biology, and Winemaking.
- Document data inputs and outputs to support ongoing development.
- Build dashboards that help partners make data-driven decisions.
- Mine data to find patterns for predictive insights.
- Model structured and unstructured data.
- Contribute to the development of machine learning and other advanced analytical models.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university, working towards or holding a Bachelor’s degree in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, or related engineering and analytical disciplines.
- Experience with Python or SQL.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
- Junior or Senior class standing is preferred.
- Experience with BI tools like Tableau is a plus.
- Previous experience in natural sciences, fermentation, viticulture, or winemaking is helpful.

- Location: Modesto, California.
- Modality: On-site only (no telecommuting).
- Compensation: $26.50 - $28.50 per hour.
- Duration: 6 months (June 2027 - December 2027).
