About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to work with the Data Science team at Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits. You will explore how technology supports the wine and spirits three-tier distribution system. The program is designed to help you build a professional network while gaining experience in the relationship between technology, sales, and operations. You will participate in training, on-site meetings, and department-wide learning opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Support projects aligned with your specific learning goals.
- Work across various digital and technology areas to understand their role in the distribution industry.
- Complete an end-of-internship project and present your findings to management.
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to prioritize activities based on value.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 21 years old by the start of the internship.
- You must be a college junior graduating the following year.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or Project Management.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Hands-on experience using Python.
- Knowledge of software design, programming principles, and application development.
- Understanding of AI concepts, tooling, and business applications.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work through ambiguity and demonstrate Agile delivery values.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- You must reside in the vicinity of Miramar or have the ability to obtain your own housing.
