About the role#
This is a full-time Production Engineering Co-op position based in Danvers, Massachusetts. The program runs from January 11, 2027, to June 25, 2027. You will join the Production Engineering team to support the design, development, and validation of manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures.
What you'll do#
- Support daily production needs, including defect reduction, productivity improvements, and product quality.
- Collaborate with global, cross-functional teams in Operations, Product Development, and Quality Assurance.
- Use Lean and Six Sigma tools to analyze process trends and identify opportunities to improve yield.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, such as assembly procedures, routers, bills of materials, and process FMEAs.
- Execute process validations, including the preparation of plans, protocols, and reports.
- Qualify and optimize processes and tooling through IQ/OQ/PQ, Gage R&R studies, and design of experiments.
- Participate in failure investigations and the development of action plans.
- Ensure products under development are designed for manufacturing, testing, and inspection.
- Enforce company policies and regulatory requirements, including Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Documentation Practices, FDA Quality System Regulations, and ISO standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior, senior, or graduate student in an engineering degree program.
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly in writing and verbally.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work with limited direct supervision.
- Authorization to work for any employer in the United States without the need for future visa sponsorship.
- Prior work experience is desired, with preference given to medical device experience.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methods is preferred.
- Green Belt certification and working knowledge of SAP are preferred.
