About the role#
This Nurse Intern position in the Med Surg Department offers nursing students hands-on experience in a hospital setting. You will work alongside experienced Registered Nurses to build your clinical skills and confidence. This role is open to students currently enrolled in a nursing program leading to RN licensure.
What you'll do#
- Provide patient care under the direct and present supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Assist with daily patient care tasks.
- Build your clinical skills in a hospital environment.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in the fourth semester of an ADN program or the fourth year of a BSN program.
- Completion of basic clinical skills required by your nursing program.
- BLS certification.
- Active CNA certification is preferred.
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, and carry items up to 10 pounds.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds to assist with patient transfers and positioning.
Location & details#
- Location: Reedsburg, Wisconsin.
- Schedule: Approximately 12 hours per week.
- Shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
- Work modality: On-site.
