About the role#
The Student Nurse Academy offers nursing students the chance to gain hands-on experience in a hospital setting. You will work alongside experienced Registered Nurses to bridge the gap between classroom theory and clinical practice. This program provides a supported environment to strengthen your skills, build professional confidence, and learn the daily realities of patient care.
What you'll do#
- Gain hands-on patient care experience in a hospital environment.
- Work alongside and learn from experienced Registered Nurses.
- Communicate with patients, families, and care team members.
- Monitor and document vital signs and patient information.
- Perform duties delegated by licensed RN staff.
- Use clinical equipment and support routine patient care.
- Apply skills learned in nursing school to clinical situations.
- Build confidence through mentorship and patient interactions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited RN nursing program.
- Successful completion of at least one semester of clinical rotations.
- Active BLS certification.
- Good academic standing within your nursing program.
- An unofficial transcript for submission.

- Compensation: Pay ranges from $16.00 to $18.00 per hour based on program level.
