    About the role#

    Deaconess Health System is hiring a Phlebotomist to join our team in Mount Vernon, Illinois. This is a full-time, on-site position with a rolling start date. We welcome applicants with backgrounds in Nursing, Public Health, Biomedical Sciences, or Health Administration.

    What you'll do#

    • Collect blood samples from patients in clinical, hospital, or laboratory settings.
    • Perform venipunctures and capillary draws.
    • Handle specimens to ensure accuracy and integrity.
    • Monitor patient comfort and safety during the collection process.

    What you'll need#

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • One to two years of relevant experience.
    • Ability to obtain a CPR BLS card from the AHA within 90 days of hire.

    • Location: Mount Vernon, Illinois.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Employment type: Full-time.
    • Compensation: $17 to $25.50 per hour.
