About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on delivering exceptional patient care, supporting regulatory compliance, and managing pharmacy workflows and inventory. You will contribute to patient health by adopting and managing patient care programs while modeling company values.
What you'll do#
- Deliver exceptional care to patients, caregivers, and customers.
- Support patient safety through strict adherence to regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
- Manage pharmacy workflow and inventory effectively.
- Lead with empathy and compassion for patients and team members.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
- Once state regulations are met, strive to provide patient immunizations.
- Perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, and utilizing finger dexterity for precise tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it as required by the state.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and timeframes.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
