About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your academic learning to real-world practice while preparing for a future role as a Pharmacist. Working under the direction of a preceptor, you will gain hands-on experience through a comprehensive training roadmap that covers store, district, and regional operations. This role focuses on supporting pharmacy teams, ensuring safe and accurate prescription fulfillment, and delivering high-quality patient care.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap, including Key Learning Experiences and activities.
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Follow all company standard operating procedures at every workstation, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, solving problems, and providing caring service.
- Educate patients about the importance of vaccines and support immunization services where permitted by law.
- Maintain high levels of self-awareness and provide support to pharmacy team members.
- Perform inventory activities such as cycle counts, returns-to-stock, and managing medication deliveries.
What you'll need#
- Must be accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Must possess or be in the process of obtaining valid intern or technician licensure.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus over long periods.
- Ability to confirm prescription information and ensure label accuracy.
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication to interact with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to perform mathematical reasoning to solve problems related to prescription dispensing.
- Ability to remain mobile and stand for extended periods, with the ability to lift up to 20 lbs.

- Compensation: This is a paid position with a pay range of $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
