About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world pharmacy practice. Under the direction of a preceptor, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap designed to provide a clear overview of store, district, and regional operations. This role prepares you for future responsibilities as a Pharmacist by immersing you in daily pharmacy operations and patient care.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures across all stations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Educate patients about the importance of vaccines and refer vaccination-related questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty.
- Demonstrate empathy and contribute to a high-performing, inclusive team environment.
- Complete a structured training roadmap featuring key learning experiences and activities.
What you'll need#
- Acceptance into or active enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure as required by state regulations.
- Ability to concentrate on tasks over extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail to confirm prescription information and label accuracy.
- Flexibility to work in your home store and travel to other locations within the market to meet business needs.

- Location: Niskayuna, New York.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Part-time, rolling term.
- Compensation: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
