About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world pharmacy operations. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap, gaining experience in store, district, and regional operations. This role focuses on preparing you for future responsibilities as a pharmacist while supporting our pharmacy team in delivering safe and accurate patient care.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team with daily operations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off workflows.
- Follow company standard operating procedures to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance.
- Provide caring service to patients, including fielding medical questions and offering immunizations when permitted by law.
- Support inventory management tasks such as cycle counts, returns-to-stock, and processing medication deliveries.
- Communicate with prescribers to clarify prescriptions or facilitate medication changes as allowed by state regulations.
- Participate in coaching and mentoring opportunities to build your clinical and technical skills.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or acceptance to an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Current status in the process of obtaining valid intern or technician licensure.
- Ability to concentrate on tasks for extended periods and pivot quickly between different responsibilities.
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 20 lbs, standing for extended periods, and reaching or stooping as needed.
- Proficiency in mathematical reasoning to accurately calculate dosages and supply requirements.

- Location: Deland, Florida.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Employment Type: Part-time.
- Compensation: Paid position with a pay range of $20.00 to $23.75 per hour.
- Schedule: Rolling term with the expectation of regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
