About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of a retail pharmacy. You will play a key role in ensuring a safe and effective environment while delivering high-quality care to patients. This position is part-time and offers the opportunity to gain professional experience in a clinical setting.
What you'll do#
- Deliver exceptional care to patients and manage patient care programs.
- Lead with empathy and compassion for patients, customers, and colleagues.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
- Maintain a safe and effective retail pharmacy work environment.
- Assist with patient safety, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, and workflow management.
- Perform physical tasks including scanning, bagging, and lifting items up to 20 lbs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Possession of, or active progress toward obtaining, required intern or technician licensure.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance including nights and weekends.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring standing for extended periods, reaching, and fine motor skills.
