About the role#
As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will transition your academic training into real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor and District Leader to complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation. This role focuses on deepening your understanding of pharmacy operations, patient safety, quality assurance, and professional standards in preparation for a Pharmacist role.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
- Apply Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices across all pharmacy workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, answering questions, and resolving patient concerns.
- Deliver additional health care services, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, where allowed by law and supported by required training.
- Take on increasing accountability for pharmacy management, oversight, and operations as your readiness grows.
What you'll need#
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program.
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe per state guidelines.
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure as required.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
