About the role#
As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will transition from didactic learning to real-world practice. You will complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation to prepare for a future Pharmacist role. This position involves working under the direction of a preceptor and District Leader to deepen your understanding of patient safety, quality assurance, and pharmacy operations.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure that pharmacy operations run smoothly, and prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
- Demonstrate empathy and genuine care while serving patients at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone.
- Follow company standard operating procedures at each workstation to support pharmacists and technicians.
- Contribute to a safe and inclusive culture where team members and patients feel valued.
- Manage pharmacy workflow procedures, including production and drop-off, to ensure safe fulfillment.
- Perform clinical tasks such as fielding medical questions and taking telephonic prescriptions, under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Complete inventory activities, such as putting away medication deliveries and cycle counts.
What you'll need#
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program.
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe per state guidelines.
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure as required.
- Ability to remain mobile and upright for extended periods.
- Capacity to lift up to 20 lbs and perform tasks requiring repetitive finger movement.
