About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the operations of a retail pharmacy. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe, effective environment while delivering high-quality care to patients. This position involves managing patient care programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and contributing to a positive team culture. This is a part-time, paid role with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy work environment.
- Deliver exceptional care to patients and manage patient care programs.
- Display empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, and enthusiasm.
- Assist with inventory management, workflow, and quality assurance.
- Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, and precise handling of pharmacy items.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Possession of, or active progress toward, a valid intern or technician license as required by the state.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and designated timeframes.
- Availability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
