About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap, gaining experience with pharmacy operations while preparing for a future role as a Pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Support the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly, safely, and accurately.
- Follow standard operating procedures at workstations including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and providing caring service.
- Assist with inventory activities such as putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts, and returns.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members as you gain experience.
- Deliver additional health care services, such as immunizations or point-of-care testing, where allowed by law and supported by training.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies regarding patient privacy and safety.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Capacity to concentrate on tasks over extended periods and maintain focus.
- Skill in confirming prescription information and label accuracy.
- Ability to pivot between tasks to meet patient needs.
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs.

- Location: Longwood, Florida.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Part-time, including nights and weekends.
- Pay range: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
