About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide care to patients. You will support the pharmacy team by managing patient care programs, maintaining regulatory requirements, and ensuring a safe work environment. This role is designed for students who want to gain professional experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
What you'll do#
- Provide empathetic care to patients, customers, and caregivers.
- Manage customer care programs to help patients stay healthy.
- Facilitate a team culture that focuses on energy, pride, and collaboration.
- Assist with inventory and workflow management.
- Align your daily work with the goal of delivering quality health care.
- Complete required training and strive to provide immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity.
- Availability for a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
