About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your academic learning from pharmacy school into real-world practice. Under the direction of a preceptor, you will follow a comprehensive training roadmap to understand pharmacy operations while preparing for future responsibilities as a pharmacist. This is a paid, part-time summer 2026 internship based on-site in Greenville, Texas.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled safely and accurately.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, offering immunizations, and solving patient problems.
- Perform basic inventory activities such as putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts, and returns.
- Demonstrate effective communication and active listening during customer and colleague interactions.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies regarding patient privacy and safety.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure as required by state regulations.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to pivot quickly between tasks.
- Capability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 20 lbs.
- Proficiency in mathematical reasoning for prescription calculations.
