About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap, gaining experience in store and regional operations. This role prepares you for future responsibilities as a pharmacist while you support the pharmacy team in delivering safe and accurate patient care.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation for safe prescription fulfillment.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care.
- Complete basic inventory activities, such as putting away deliveries and cycle counts, as directed by leadership.
- Demonstrate effective communication during customer interactions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure as required by state regulations.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to pivot quickly between tasks.
