About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap that covers store, district, and regional operations. This role is designed to prepare you for future responsibilities as a Pharmacist by immersing you in pharmacy operations and patient care.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and care during interactions.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and call to clarify medication details.
- Complete basic inventory activities, such as putting away deliveries and performing cycle counts, as directed by pharmacy leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or acceptance to an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Ability to pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business needs.
- Strong attention to detail to confirm prescription information and label accuracy.

- Compensation: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour.
