Pharmacy Intern - Grad

About the role#

As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will transition your academic training into real-world practice to prepare for a future Pharmacist role. You will participate in a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation, focusing on store, district, and regional operations. You will gain hands-on experience in patient safety, quality assurance, drug utilization review, and pharmacy professional standards under the guidance of a preceptor and District Leader.

What you'll do#

• Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled safely and accurately.
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at all workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
• Educate patients about vaccines, answer health-related questions, and obtain informed consent.
• Deliver additional patient health care services, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, where permitted by law and supported by required training.
• Maintain pharmacy standards by following company policies regarding controlled substance dispensing, recordkeeping, and patient privacy.
• Support inventory management activities, including cycle counts, returns-to-stock, and processing medication deliveries.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to pharmacy team members while sharing best practices.

What you'll need#

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure as required.
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe per state guidelines.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Strong communication skills, mathematical reasoning for prescription calculations, and the ability to pivot between tasks to meet patient needs.
• Physical ability to remain mobile for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks such as typing and reaching.
