Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on delivering exceptional patient care, managing patient care programs, and supporting the pharmacy team in daily operations. You will gain professional experience while contributing to the quality of care provided to patients.

What you'll do#

• Deliver exceptional care to each patient and manage patient care programs.
• Lead with empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
• Facilitate a team culture that promotes energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
• Ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy work environment.
• Perform tasks including patient safety, pharmacy practice, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, customer service, inventory management, and workflow management.
• Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 20 lbs, reaching, stooping, and maintaining upright mobility for extended periods.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it as required by the state.
• 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and designated timeframes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.

• Work Modality: On-site.
• Employment Type: Part-time.
• Compensation: $21.25 - $25.00 per hour.
