About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on delivering exceptional patient care, managing pharmacy workflows, and supporting regulatory and quality assurance requirements. You will be part of a team dedicated to increasing access to care and improving health outcomes for patients.
What you'll do#
- Deliver patient care programs and advise on prescriptions or chronic condition management.
- Display empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to achieve better health outcomes.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, enthusiasm, and pride.
- Manage inventory and pharmacy workflow tasks, excluding final prescription verification.
- Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Valid intern or technician licensure as required by the state, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and designated timeframes.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and visual acuity.
