Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care, managing pharmacy operations, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will be part of a team dedicated to improving health outcomes by assisting with patient care programs and customer service.

What you'll do#

• Deliver exceptional care to each patient and manage patient care programs.
• Lead with empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
• Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, enthusiasm, and pride.
• Ensure pharmacy professional practice and regulatory compliance, including quality assurance and inventory management.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, scanning, and bagging items, as well as maintaining a mobile, upright position for extended periods.
• Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframes.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Must possess or be in the process of obtaining valid intern or technician licensure as required by the state.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform physical requirements, including reaching, stooping, and lifting up to 20 lbs.
