About the role#
As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will transition your academic training into real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor and District Leader to complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation. This role focuses on deepening your understanding of pharmacy operations, patient safety, and professional standards while preparing you for a future Pharmacist position.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled accurately.
- Follow company procedures at all workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, answering questions, and resolving concerns.
- Maintain pharmacy records and comply with federal, state, and local laws.
- Deliver additional patient health care services, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, where permitted by law.
- Support team management by providing coaching and mentoring to pharmacy staff.
- Complete inventory activities including cycle counts, returns, and processing medication deliveries.
What you'll need#
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program.
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation.
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Proficiency in mathematical reasoning to calculate dosages and supply needs.
- Ability to remain mobile and stand for extended periods, with the physical capacity to lift up to 20 lbs.
