About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide patient care and support pharmacy operations. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment while gaining professional experience in a clinical setting.
What you'll do#
- Deliver exceptional care to patients and display empathy and compassion in all interactions.
- Manage patient care programs to help customers maintain their health.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
- Ensure a safe and effective work environment by following regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to deliver better outcomes and support daily operations.
- Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Must be accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Possess or be in the process of obtaining valid intern or technician licensure as required by the state.
- 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to remain upright for extended periods and lift or move items up to 20 lbs.
- Physical capability to perform tasks such as reaching, stooping, and precise finger dexterity for typing and handling small items.
