About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on delivering high-quality care, managing patient health programs, and contributing to the overall workflow of the pharmacy team. You will be expected to model company values and foster a collaborative, supportive team culture.
What you'll do#
- Deliver exceptional care to patients and customers.
- Manage and support the adoption of patient care programs to improve health outcomes.
- Display empathy and compassion toward patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Align team members around the purpose of providing quality health care.
- Facilitate a positive team culture that promotes energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
- Perform pharmacy tasks including patient safety, inventory management, and workflow support.
- Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or the ability to obtain it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity.
- Availability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
