About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your academic knowledge to real-world pharmacy operations. This role is designed to prepare you for future responsibilities as a Pharmacist by immersing you in a culture of continuous improvement. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap, gaining exposure to store, district, and regional operations.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences.
- Follow all company standard operating procedures at each workstation to help manage and improve patient health.
- Assist the pharmacy team in daily operations to ensure a smooth workflow and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by providing caring service and demonstrating empathy.
- Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs while contributing to an inclusive team dynamic.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Possession of, or active progress toward obtaining, a valid intern or technician license.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Ability to pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business needs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients and colleagues.
