About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your academic training to real-world pharmacy practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap, gaining experience in store, district, and regional operations. This role focuses on supporting pharmacy teams while developing the skills necessary for future pharmacist responsibilities.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly, safely, and accurately.
- Operate within pharmacy workflows by consistently applying Standard Operating Procedures.
- Provide caring service to contribute to positive patient experiences, showing empathy and genuine care in all interactions.
- Complete basic inventory activities, such as processing deliveries and cycle counts, as permitted by law and directed by leadership.
- Educate patients on the importance of vaccines and refer vaccination-related questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty.
- Strive to become immunization certified to provide patient immunizations as state regulations allow.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Flexibility to work in your home store and travel to other locations within the market to meet business needs.
- Ability to meet physical demands, including standing for extended periods, reaching, and lifting up to 20 lbs.

- Schedule: Part-time with rolling start dates.
- Compensation: This position is paid, with a typical pay range of $20.00 to $23.75 per hour.
