As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply didactic learning from pharmacy school into real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap, gaining hands-on experience with store, district, and regional operations. This role is designed to prepare you for future responsibilities as a Pharmacist by immersing you in pharmacy workflows and patient care.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team with daily operations to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures across workstations including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by providing empathetic service and solving patient problems.
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap, including Key Learning Experiences and activities, to build clinical and technical aptitude.
- Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, professional standards, and ethical principles.
- Maintain pharmacy records and protect patient privacy and security in accordance with company policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Possession of, or the active process of obtaining, a valid intern and/or technician licensure.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Strong attention to detail and a customer service orientation.
- Ability to concentrate on tasks over time and pivot quickly to meet patient needs.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and mathematical reasoning for prescription processing.

- Schedule: Part-time, with availability for nights and weekends.
